Welcome to Mo Wang Yingxiang Cafe, a hidden gem nestled in the charming lanes of Yancheng District in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. This café is not just a place to sip a cup of coffee; it is an enchanting experience that appeals to both coffee aficionados and photography enthusiasts alike.

The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by an eclectic collection of vintage film cameras adorning the walls. The ambiance is inviting, with the gentle hum of conversations and the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee filling the air. The owner, a passionate photographer himself, is more than just a barista; he enjoys sharing stories about his cameras and helping customers find the perfect piece for their collections. Earn S. shared a delightful experience, noting, “If it didn’t have café in the name, I would’ve thought it was a camera shop.” This showcases the café's unique blend of coffee and camera culture.

While the menu focuses primarily on coffee, Travel Lu emphasizes that the atmosphere is worth the visit alone. You might find yourself relaxing with a cup of iced drip coffee, which, according to other reviews, is a solid choice, if not the stand-out star. This industrial-chic retreat serves as a sanctuary where you can unwind, surrounded by fascinating photography pieces and the café's beloved cat, affectionately known as Hu Pi. The cat has become such a highlight that some customers have found that they enjoy simply watching it as they sip their drinks.

Customer feedback also tells us that the café isn’t just about the coffee; it’s about diving deep into a world of photography and conversation. Y.Z noted that the owner offers tailored recommendations based on individual needs when it comes to buying cameras and accessories. This personal touch adds immense value for those seeking both coffee and camera equipment.

Despite its tiny footprint, Mo Wang Yingxiang Cafe has made a significant impression on locals and travelers alike. It’s a place where one can hang out, chat with an expert about photography, and—if luck is on your side—enjoy the delightful company of the lovable cat. Do keep in mind that the café follows an irregular schedule, so visiting might feel like a charming game of chance, enhancing the sense of adventure.

Whether you’re a photography enthusiast, a cat lover, or simply searching for a cozy corner to sip coffee and brainstorm ideas, Mo Wang Yingxiang Cafe is a must-visit spot in Kaohsiung. So swing by, chat with the owner, cuddle the cat, and immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere that this captivating café has to offer!

Pretty cool spot with lots of second hand film cameras all around. If it didn’t have cafe in the name, I would’ve thought it was a camera shop. The owner sells the cameras too. I tried the iced drip coffee and it was okay, not bad but nothing special. The place looks cool and the owner seems like someone you could easily chat with. The lovely cat is probably the real star of the shop, sleeping there while the owner brews coffee. There’s no table for working or hanging out too long, just a few chairs to sit and enjoy your drink. Feels more like a quick stop unless you plan to stay and talk with the owner. I really like the vibe though.

Great little café with a boss who is a professional camera collector. It's also a 2nd hand camera store. I bought an antique camera toy and had a good time there playing a cat. Ppl who love old house, camera, and antique collection should visit there. Boss is a friendly guy who won't push you to purchase. Coffee is good and not expensive (nt $100).

It's a lovely boutique cafe. You will have a cup of good coffee, an adorable cat and stories shared by a friendly cafe owner (sometimes photographer).
